The red-browed flycatcher is a small species in the flycatcher group (about 13 cm). The bird is buff-brown, with a gray upper body with a bright white throat, a gray chest and a light gray underside. Males and females are similar.

Rufous-browed flycatcher is small sized species in flycatcher group (about 13 cm). It has light rufous eyebrow, grayish brown upperparts with brilliant white throat, grey breast and paler grey underparts. Both sexes are similar.
